Hamilton
Hamilton is the largest inland city of New Zealand with 130000 populations. It is one of the richest farmlands of the world. It spreads across the Waikato River in the heart of the lush Waikato plains. The prime feature of the city is its restful river side parks.
With time Hamilton has grown up as farming and administrative centre with large number of industries, farming experimentation, research, and a major university. The city has a long tradition of diary farming. In recent years, it is giving way to goat and deer farming, orchard farming and berry and market gardening.
Attractions of Hamilton:Hamilton Lake (Rotoroa): It is a wildlife sanctuary near the city centre. It displays varieties of pastimes starting from yachting and boating to roller-skating and miniature golf.
Te Rapa Milk Powder Factory: It is the largest and most automated dried milk powder factory of the world. It processes about 1.8 million liters of milk daily.
