Dolphin Lagoon Singapore

The new ‘Dolphine Lagoon’ at the Central Beach is the first of its kind in Asia that houses Indo-Pacific Humpbacked Dolphins, commonly known as pink dolphins for its coat of "bubbly" pink. Thousands of visitors come here to enjoy dolphins performing their natural behavior such as spy-hop, tail-flapping, vocalization etc. Visitors are also allowed to touch, feed and play with the Dolphin at the “meet-the Dolphin’ session under the guidance of the staff inside the shallow water.

This lagoon was built to stimulate a natural environment similar to the original habitat       of the Dolphin. The cost of the project was approximately $3 million. The lagoon contains about 30 million litres of filtered natural seawater, has an undulating sandy bottom to provide the dolphins with a variety of water depths, and is surrounded by lovely white beaches lined with palm trees to make the environment conducive to dolphins. So when you visit Singapore, never forget to meet these wonderful and highly intelligent animals.
