Bonn
Located at a distance of 20 km towards the south of Cologne on the river Rhine, the city Bonn is the 19th largest city of Germany. Bonn, Germany is a part of the Federal State of Rhine Westphalia, the capital of West Germany from 1949 to 1990.
The city Bonn is one of the major tourist attractions in Germany. One main tourist attraction is the Beethoven House. The Beethoven House for obvious reasons possesses the world's most extensive collection of the exhibits of Beethoven. It is for this reason that the place attracts such a large numbers of tourists every year. The old quarter of the Beethoven House has impressive buildings within its campus. These are the

The Beethoven House lies at the centre of Bonn, Germany. This was the same house where Beethoven was born and today it has rightly become a place of pilgrimage for lovers of music from all places over the world. This house is the only one in Bonn to have been used and occupied by the Beethoven family and therefore even today it is still preserved. There are 150 original exhibits of the great man and these reflect his life and works. These exhibits also include the famous portrait of Beethoven and also his last grand piano.
The old quarter in Bonn in Germany includes the Old Town Hall, Minster basilica and also the Beethoven statue. The market square is dominated by the baroque Old Town Hall. The steps have the gilded railings and these have the scenes of numerous historical events and it also provides the backdrop for the "Bonn Summer" open-air cultural festival.
Another major attraction of Bonn, Germany is the Poppelsdorf Palace. This is a magnificent palace that was completed by the baroque architect Balthazar Neumann and provides a wonderful backdrop for the "Poppelsdorf Palace Concerts" that is held here each summer.
